The General Accounts Assistant is responsible for providing scheduled support in accordance with school policies and procedures. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts payable and receivable sub-ledgers and monthly account reconciliations utilizing specific computer software are key components of this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
Process vendor and supplier invoices, in a timely manner, verifying accuracy, approvals and account coding in accordance with requirements.
Prepares cheques and associated reports, as required in accordance with schedules.
Prepare and maintain pre-authorize payments monthly or as required.
Enter and reconcile cheques cashed to accounting software monthly.
Respond to vendor inquiries as required.
Refer overdue accounts to Director for adjustments, write- off or collections.
Prepare accounting adjustment forms where required.
Respond to vendor for sales enquiries regarding centre share disbursement as required.
Accounting for fees and issuance of receipts and Bank reconciliations to be done monthly.
On hand experience in MS Office, SAP/Other ERP Package is must. He/ She should have knowledge about TDS and filing of E-TDS returns of the organization. Should be able to assist in finalisation of accounts.
Skills & Abilities
Comprehensive knowledge of computer accounting software systems;
Experienced in processing accounts payable/receivable, sub-ledger and general ledger entries and reconciliations;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Practical accounting experience;
Qualification: Graduate with 3-5 years of experience
