NMIMS invites applications of the candidates who are willing to work in educational set-up for its School conducting distance learning courses at PAN India level at SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed-to-be-University.
A Chartered Accountant with proven at least 7-10 years of hands on experience in similar role, with excellent analytical & numerical skills may apply. The candidate should have used financial software and acumen in financial rules, regulations & procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assisting in the preparation of budgets
Managing records and receipts
Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
Preparing financial statements
Monitoring of cashflow
Developing an in-depth knowledge of organisational requirements and process
Providing support services to the School & University in general
Resolve financial disputes raised by the various stakeholders like the third party agencies, IC’s, vendors, centres, sales teams & students’ fees enquiry
Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
Supporting the CFO and other departmental executives with various tasks as and when required
Providing Analytics and MIS to the Director of the School through CFO
7-10 years of hands on experience in similar role, with excellent analytical & numerical skills may apply. The candidate should have used financial softwares and acumen in financial rules, regulations & procedures.
Skills & Abilities
Should have General knowledge of automated accounting and related systems as also ability to work with Functional & Technical staff in handling duties in an automated environment.
Accuracy and thoroughness in the analyses and preparation of financial records.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions in conformance with statutory laws w.r.t to taxation, forex regulations, and ensuring timely compliance of all applicable laws.
Ability to supervise, organize, and evaluate the work of staff/team looking after finance.
Ability to conduct long range fiscal planning. Ability to evaluate financial systems and formulate and install accounting methods, procedures, forms, and records.
Ability to design and prepare analytical or interpretative financial statements.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, departmental heads, governmental officials, and with other stakeholders.
