Dr. Akshay S. K. Naidu is a B.Tech. (1997) graduate in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. He obtained his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2000 and Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2004. His research interests include Smart Materials based Structural Health Monitoring, Smart Structures and Systems, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning solutions to engineering problems, Structural Retrofitting and Green Buildings. He has published over 25 technical papers in International Journals and Conferences.
Presently, he is working as a Professor at uGDX Institute of Technology, formerly INSOFE Education, teaching and researching in Data Science & Engineering. He has over 19 years of professional experience as a teaching faculty at various engineering colleges and educational institutions, during which he has also held responsible administrative positions. Apart from core engineering, out of his love for Mathematics, he had also been a reputed teacher of Mathematics and Statistics for competetive examinations such as GATE and IIT-JEE.
He is a member of several professional societies such as IEI, ICI, ISSS, IAStructE and IGBC. He is also an IGBC Accredited Professional.
