What is the process to pay the fee for executive programs by NMIMS Global Access?

MBA (Executive) – Complete fee has to be paid before the start of the program.

Professional Diploma and M.Sc in Applied Finance – Student has an option to pay the complete program fee, annual fee, or semester wise fee.

What is the fee and instalment structure for defence personnel?

As per University guidelines, 20% discount will be provided to defence personnel on the program fee only.

What happens if an MBA (Executive) student is not able to pay fee/block amount within the first 7 days/stipulated date?

If student is not able to make payment of complete program fee within 1  month from the date of offer letter, late fee of 10000/- will be applicable and candidate will have time till the last date of application for payment of the program fee.

What happens if a student misses an interview slot for MBA (Executive)?

Student can request for a new slot by raising a request to the University email id – ngasce@nmims.edu once without any charges. From second time onwards candidate will have to pay 1000/- for changing the slot for the same. Student can change the payment slot not more than two times.

Is the exam fee charged for each subject in every term?

Professional Diploma and M.Sc. in Applied Finance:

Yes, there is an exam fee applicable of Rs. 600/- per subject per attempt.

MBA (WX):

Default attempts exam fee is already included in the program fee for MBA (WX). In the case of re-attempts, exam fee of 2500/- per subject will be applicable.

What is the eligibility criteria for Master of Business Administration (Working Executives) program?

Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from recognised Universities with a minimum of 55% and 3+ years of work experience.

Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from recognised Universities with a minimum of 55% and Post-Graduation/Professional Degree from recognised Universities with a minimum of 55% and 2+ years of work experience.

 

What is the eligibility criteria for M.Sc in Applied Finance?

Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from any recognised University or an equivalent degree recognised by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with minimum 50% marks at Graduation Level

What is an ‘Authorised Enrolment Partner’?

‘Authorised Enrolment Partner’ is an information centre set up for student support, which offer services such as administration and coordination. Also, follow-up services for admissions, academic deliverables, examinations, queries, and concerns. The guidelines followed by our AEPs are as stipulated by the Institution for the purpose of advising, rendering any assistance or related services which are required by the students who have been admitted by the Institution into its online & distance education programs. The AEPs, however, do not cater to teaching, examination and assessment.

No, you cannot change your Authorised Enrolment Partner.

How can a student update their registered email id, shipping address and mobile number?

Student can update their e-mail id, mobile  number and/or shipping address from the Student Portal > My Profile.

What is re-registration?

Every student has to compulsorily re-register themselves for the next semester. This process is applicable for every semester, even for students who have paid annual or full fees, in order to activate the semester access. Only post re-registration will you be able to access to the course material and lectures of the prospective semester. This will also enable you to register and appear for the examination of prospective semester. 

Every student has to register for the prospective / upcoming Semester irrespective of the number of courses passed in the earlier semesters as per the dates announced by the University from time to time.

Note: This is not applicable for MBA (WX) & MBA (X). For further details, please contact the University.

 

Does a student have to re-register after every Semester?

Professional Diploma and M.Sc in Applied Finance:

Student for these programs will have to re-register mandatorily every semester, in order to activate the semester access. This is a mandatory process even when annual or full fee is paid. Only post re-registration will they be able to access to the course material and lectures of the prospective semester. This will also enable them to register and appear for the examination of prospective semester.

MBA (WX) & MBA (X):

What is the procedure to cancel an admission?

To cancel your admission, you need to inform your Authorised Enrolment Partner or Learning Centre to initiate your admission cancellation process with the University. University will send a Refund form via mail which you will have to fill and submit along with the specimen of your signature. Kindly note there is a process time line of 15 days for payment of Refund from the date the Refund form is submitted by you. The process of cancellation has to be initiated within a set date provided by the University, the same will be communicated at the time of admission.

Note: The Admission Processing Fee/Registration fee is non-refundable.

What is the process to get a Bonafide certificate?

The request for the same can be made via student portal, student will need to follow the below path:

Log in to Student Portal > Student Support > Service Request > Issuance of Bonafide

The Bonafide Certificate will take 10 – 15 working days to be printed and ready.

Will there be a convocation ceremony post completion of a program?

No.

What Academic help will I receive after registering for the program?

After registering for any program with Online a student will receive semester-wise self learning material (if applicable), recordings of online sessions, course presentations, session presentations and any additional reading material as shared by faculty if any.

How are the programs delivered at NMIMS Global Access?

Our programs are 100% online – both live & recorded. It involves conducting live, online sessions, online doubt clearing sessions, lecture presentations, providing learning resources like books, session plan.

What is the benefit of attending the online sessions?

Online lectures cover the learning of the entire course content on the basis of a per session plan. Faculty interact and collaborate with students and thereby ensure enhanced student engagement. Real-time doubt clarification is also possible.

How can one attend live lectures?

In order to attend the live lectures, follow the given path in the student portal:

-Log in to the student zone 

-Go to the Academic calendar (left hand side of portal), select the link from date
-Select- attend sessions in the pop up on the right hand side. -To attend the live session on a Mobile phone or Laptop/computer you need to install a Zoom application or download our mobile app

Can I access live lectures on a mobile device/cellphone?

Yes, you can attend the online sessions on the desktop, as well as through our mobile app.

Can I attend these sessions from my home/workplace/office?

Yes, you can attend these sessions from your home/workplace/office subject to availability of necessary IT infrastructure and firewall settings.

Is it compulsory to attend the live lectures online?

Professional Diploma & M.Sc. in Applied Finance:

No, attendance is not mandatory for lectures but highly recommended. In case the student has missed their live lectures, they will have access to the recordings 48 working hours after the commencement of lectures.

MBA ( X) and MBA (WX) :

Attendance is highly recommended since it is a continuous learning and assessment approach as Internal Assessments are conducted post every lecture.

Are the books from study material provided available as physical copies?

M.Sc. in Applied Finance: 

Yes, Study Material will be provided by the University as hard copies.

Professional Diploma/MBA (WX)/MBA (X):

No hard copy of books are applicable in this program. Reference textbooks will be recommended by the faculty. They will also share course wise curated content.

Where can the student view E-books(course material) & course presentations by the faculty?

Is there any interaction with the faculty during live online lectures?

Yes, you have a chat option to interact with the faculty during live online lectures.

I’m getting “Meeting not in progress “error while trying to access the live online lecture. What should I do?

This is not an error, kindly access the lectures 15 minutes before the lecture starts to avoid this message. You may book your seat for a particular faculty lecture 1 hour prior to the commencement of the lecture.

Where do I view my E-books/course presentations of the faculty?

The E-books/course presentations of the faculty will be available in the student portal. Follow this path to find the E-books/course presentations:

Log-in to the student portal-> my courses (left side of the portal) -> select subject from the drop down menu and check whose lectures have been conducted → Scroll down to learning resources.

Are the soft copies of study material downloadable?

The study material cannot be downloaded on the web browser. However it can be downloaded on the Student Zone Mobile App.

How can the student access lecture recordings?

In order to access lecture recordings, follow the given path in the student zone:

Where are the recordings of my previous semester pending subjects?

You can view the available semester session recordings in the student portal. Select session recordings, then the subject and academic cycle to view the same.

Can I access recordings on a mobile device?

Yes, you can access the session recordings on mobile by downloading the mobile application.

How will I get my queries resolved when I’m watching the recording of the lectures?

Students have an option known as the “Post my query” under Student portal- Academic Calendar. Here they can ask their queries and the faculty will revert to them within 48 hours.

Follow the path to post your query:

  • Login to student portal
  • Academic calendar (left hand side of portal)
  • Select the date of session which has already been completed
  • There would a pop up which has a post query option.
How should I ask my queries to the faculty?

You can ask your queries using the chat option during a live lecture or through the “Post a query” feature if you have additional queries offline.

When will I get my student portal credentials?

Once your admission is confirmed you will receive the credentials within 24 working hours on your registered email ID, students are requested to change their credentials as per the password policy via the Student portal. Select Quick links — Change password

I’m getting “invalid credentials” while logging in to the Student Zone. What do I do?

You are requested to kindly login to your Student Zone with the correct SAP Id & Password. 

In case you are receiving the message of invalid credentials, you are required to kindly use the forgot password option to login to your Student Zone. Once you use forgot password option the password will be emailed on your registered email id with which you can login to Student Zone.

If you’re accessing through the mobile app, make sure it is the authorised app for NMIMS GLOBAL ACCESS SCHOOL FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION.

I’m getting “Session Expired” while logging in to the Student Zone. What should I do?

1. Check your Connectivity and Firewall settings.

2. Update details on Student Zone> My Profile 

– Parents’ First Name only

Will a student be able to pursue a Ph.D. after completion of any of the programs?

Student will have to check the eligibility with the respective University he/she is applying for.

Will the MBA (WX) students get Hard copies of Harvard certificates?

The certificates will be generated online only.  No hard copies will be delivered.

Can an MBA (WX) student re-attempt Harvard Modules if failed in the first attempt

No, students cannot re-attempt the Harvard Module.

How long will the MBA (WX) students have access to Harvard Modules?

The access to Harvard module will be active for 1 year. We advice that the students finish the modules as per the suggested Term mapped or earlier if possible.

Can a MBA (WX) student opt for specialisation change?

Student can opt for specialisation change at the time of re-registration into Term 3

1. Student can opt for change in specialisation/change in electives only once (without any charges).

2. Students wanting to opt for change in specialisation/change in electives for the second time will have to pay Rs. 5000/- for the change.

When will I get my study kit?

After your admission is confirmed, you will receive your student number, study kit & the course material applicable to your program within 10 working days. The study kit will be dispatched either to your shipping address or your Authorised Enrolment Partner which you would have chosen while taking your admission.

Note: There is no study material for MBA (WX) and Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing. All resources are available online on your Student Zone.

How will I receive my ID card and fee receipt?

M.Sc. in Applied Finance:

The Welcome Kit includes the Study Material, ID card, Welcome letter and Student Undertaking Form.  

Student can write an email to the University  if he wishes to get the Hard copy Fee Receipt (E-fee receipt is shared on the registered email address)

Professional Diploma, MBA (WX) & MBA (X):

Where do I need to submit the student declaration form once I have received the same in my study kit?

You have to submit the original student undertaking form to your authorised enrolment partner that you have opted for at the time of your admission.

What can be done, if I have misplaced my study kit for a particular semester?

If you have misplaced your study kit, you will be required to apply for a duplicate study kit for the particular semester by placing a service request via your Student Zone. The study kit charges will be applicable. You can make the online payment via the Student Zone for the same. Follow the path to raise a request for a study kit: Log in to the student portal → Student support → service request→Re-Dispatch of Study kit.

How do I opt to receive my study material after I complete my admission procedure?

During the registration, you can either opt to receive the study material at your shipping address or your Authorised Enrolment partner. Once you have chosen the respective the study material will be dispatched accordingly.

Note: There is no study material for MBA (WX) and Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing. All resources are available online on your Student Zone.

In case I want to change my name in my student identity card, what is the process for the same?

In case you have changed your name via the service link which is updated in your Student Zone under the student support link tab. You will be required to apply for a duplicate ID card with the revised /updated name. The duplicate id card charges for the revised name is Rs 200/- You can make an online payment towards the same.

Where do I need to collect my semester fee receipts once I have taken admission for the online & distance learning programs?

Students are required to kindly get in touch with your Authorised Enrolment Partner, to get the receipt of your semester fee.

Examination

What is the evaluation pattern?

M.Sc in Applied Finance & Professional Diploma in Wealth Management

Each subject carries a weightage of 100 marks. Here’re its components:

  • Internal Assignment – 30 marks
  • Term End Examination (consisting of Multiple Choice Questions + Descriptive type questions) – 70 marks

Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing      Each semester has 3 papers & 1 project comprising of a total of 400 marks. Here’re its components:

  • Paper – Each paper carries a weightage of 100 marks, it is further bifurcated into:

(i) Term End Exam: Carries a weightage of 70 marks

(ii) Assignment: Carries a weightage of 30 marks

  • Project – Mimic Pro Simulation with a 100 marks weightage

MBA (WX):

In terms 1 to 4, for each subject:

  • Internal Assessment – carries 70% credence.
  • Term End Examination – carries 30% credence.

At each term end, if the passing criteria is not met, students will get a chance to take 100 marks exams for up to 2 subjects.

Term 5 is a Capstone project, that can be accessed through the Student Zone.

When are exams conducted?

M.Sc. In Applied Finance & Professional Diploma:

Internal Assignments – They’re assigned during the academic session and are supposed to be submitted on or before the last date announced by the University on the Student Zone.

Term End Exams – There are 4 exam cycles in a year – April, June, September and December. A student has to necessarily complete a study period of at least six months in the enrolled semester, to be eligible for the Term End Examination of the subjects of that semester.

MBA (WX):

For terms 1 to 4:

Internal Assessments – Each subject is covered in 10 lectures. However, there are a total of 9 assessments per subject. 1st assessment is based on the 1st lecture and is scheduled post the 2nd lecture .  This allows the student time to revise concepts & prepare for the assessment.

Term End Exams – Term end exams are conducted every 2 weeks (either Sunday or Saturday) post all lectures of a particular subject are completed.

Term 5 consists of the Capstone Project, and can be accessed on the Student Zone

MBA (X):

For terms 1 to 5: Every Subject will comprise of two grading components Internal Assignment or Project ( 40%) and Term End Exam (60%). Internal Assignment/Project and Term End Examination are mandatory components in nature. 

Internal Assignment: In each subject there would be a total of five assignments of 10 marks each. Among these five, best four are taken into consideration.

Project: Project will have a fixed subject-wise deadline as per timetable.

Term End Exam: Final Examination has individual cut-off component i.e. individual passing cut-off marks (40% of 60 marks = ‘24 marks’). 

To be declared as ‘Pass’ in each subject, student needs to submit the Internal Assignment/Project as well as necessarily appear for the Term End Examination.

Term 6 consists of the Capstone Project, and can be accessed on the Student Zone

What is the process of applying or registering for Term End & Re-sit Examinations?

M.Sc (Applied Finance) & Professional Diploma:

To apply for exams, students will have to register online when the window for exam registration opens, as per the University calendar. The exam registration is on first come first serve basis when the online registration window goes live (will be communicated via email/SMS/announcement section of Student Zone). Students must not wait till the last minute for exam registration as it could lead to unavailability of preferable exam centre/time slot.

MBA (WX) :

The student will have to register online for appearing for the Term End Exam (30 marks). Students need to refer to our Student zone announcements for further details.

The student will have to register online for appearing for the Re-Exam (100 marks) as per the dates declared by the University by paying the applicable charges. Students need to refer to our Student zone announcements for further details.

Pls. Note: Re-exam is applicable for in each Term. Re-exam fee is Rs.2500/- per exam.

MBA (X):

There is no exam registration for the 60 marks Term End Exam. However, the student will have to register online for appearing for the Re-Exam (100 marks) when the window for exam registration opens (decided as per the University calendar) by paying the applicable Exam fee. Students need to refer to Student Zone announcements for further details.

Pls. Note: Re-exam is applicable for in each Term. Re-exam fee is Rs.2500/- per exam.

What happens if a student has registered but fails to appear for the Term End Examinations?

M.Sc. In Applied Finance & Professional Diploma :

In case a student has registered for the examination & is not able to appear for the same on the scheduled date, he/she will be marked “Absent”. 

Kindly note the exam registration fee cannot be refunded or adjusted with the next exam cycle.

MBA (WX)/MBA (X):

1. Student can choose to only appear for re-exam of 100 marks conducted at the end of every term by paying the applicable fees of Rs 2500 per subject.

2. Student will have to pay the applicable subject wise fees as decided by the University.

What is the passing criteria?

M.Sc. In Applied Finance & Professional Diploma

To be eligible for being declared as “Pass” in any subject, a student is required to obtain 50% marks on the aggregate of marks obtained in the Internal Assignment and Term End Examination taken together. Attempting both components is mandatory.

MBA (WX):

For terms 1 to 4:

In each subject, total passing criteria is 50/100. Below are the criteria as per components:

Internal Assessment – This is a mandatory component with 70% credence. However, there are no individual passing cut-off marks. Out of 9 Internal Assessments  best of 7 Assessments score is considered.

Term End Examination – This has an overall credence of 30% & the passing cut off is 40% of 30, i.e. 12 marks.

At each term end, if the passing criteria is not met, students will get a chance to repeat the subject(s) or attempt the 100 marks re-exam by paying the applicable charges as decided by University.  Passing criteria for re-sit exams is minimum score of 50%.

MBA (X):

For terms 1 to 5:

In each subject, total passing criteria is 50/100. Below are the criteria as per components:

Internal Assessment / Project – This is a mandatory component with 40% credence. However, there are no individual passing cut-off marks.

Term End Examination – This has an overall credence of 60% & the passing cut off is 40% of 40, i.e. 24 marks.

At each term end, if the passing criteria is not met, students will get a chance to repeat the subject(s) or attempt the 100 marks re-exam by paying the applicable charges as decided by University.  Passing criteria for re-sit exams is minimum score of 50%.

How are assignments/projects evaluated?

M.Sc in Applied Finance, Professional Diploma

After the closure of the assignment submission due date, the assignments are sent to the faculty for evaluation. 

Note: Since the assignment evaluation is done online by the faculty there is no concept of sharing the checked photocopy of the assignment. However, the overall faculty remarks given after evaluation will be shared with the students when the assignment result is declared.

Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing also has a Mimic Pro Simulation Project in each term, it is available through the Student Zone. These real world simulations and evaluation is done basis the performance.

MBA (WX):

Assignments/Projects are not applicable for MBA (WX). Term 5 contains a Capstone Project & can be accessed through Student Zone. Please contact the University for more information.

MBA (X):

Course wise projects are sent to faculty for evaluation. The format of the same could be in word document, power point presentation, video presentation, etc. – as prescribed by the University.

Term 5 contains a Capstone Project that can be accessed through the Student Zone. Please contact your student mentor for more information.

Where can a student access assignment questions/project details?

M.Sc in Applied Finance & Professional Diploma

Assignment questions are uploaded within the Student Zone under ‘Assignment Module’. Note: For every exam cycle, a fresh set of assignment questions are uploaded. Students are expected to download the assignment paper and submit them after completion through the ‘Assignment Module’ on or before the last date announced by the University. Assignment submitted via email or a hard copy will not be accepted.

MBA (WX):

There are no assignments for MBA (WX). Term 5 is a Capstone Project, that can be accessed through the Student Zone. Please contact the University for more information.

MBA (X):

Course wise projects will be made available on the Student Zone. Term 5 is a Capstone Project, that can be accessed through the Student Zone. Please contact your student mentor for more information.

Is there any assignment fee or project fee applicable?

M.Sc in Applied Finance & Professional Diploma

For each subject, no assignment submission fee is charged for the first two assignment submission exam attempts. However, from the third assignment submission exam attempt (applicable fee) will be charged per subject per attempt.

MBA (WX):

There are no assignments for MBA (WX).

Term 5 is a Capstone Project, that can be accessed through the Student Zone. There is no extra fee applicable for the same. In case of failure, re-term fee is applicable within the duration of program validity.

MBA (X)
No assignment fee is applicable for course wise projects.

Is there any reference material that can be used for completing assignments or projects?

Students are free to refer to any books/reference material/website/internet for attempting their assignments but are not allowed to copy the matter verbatim from the source or reference. If matter is copied verbatim, such assignments will be under ‘copy case’. 

Assignment or Projects falling under copy case will be graded as “zero”. However, these students will be allowed to register and appear for the scheduled term end examinations.

What should a student do in case their assignment/project status shows “Not submitted” on the Student Zone, even though he/she had made the submission in the last examination cycle?

M.Sc in Applied Finance & Professional Diploma

There are two aspects why a student could see the “Not submitted” status for assignments, in the Student Zone:

  1. The assignment is not submitted for that particular subject
  2. The assignment is submitted in the last cycle but assignment results are not declared and current examination cycle assignments are released. Once results are declared and if a student has cleared the subject – the assignment will automatically disappear from the student’s dashboard. The student can check “Previous submissions” section to verify when have he/she has submitted the assignments.
Is submitting assignments or projects a prerequisite to register & appear for term end examinations?

M.Sc in Applied Finance & Professional Diploma in Wealth Management

No, assignment submission is no longer a pre-requisite to register and appear for the term end examinations. This policy is effective from December 2016 Exam Cycle onwards which will be applicable to all students. However, Assignment submission is a mandatory component along with term end.

Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing

No, assignment submission is no longer a pre-requisite to register and appear for the term end examinations. This policy is effective from December 2016 Exam Cycle onwards which will be applicable to all students. However, both Assignment submission & Mimic Pro Project are mandatory components of the program.

MBA (WX)

Yes, students can appear for exams and then submit the assignments. However, both components are equally important for result declaration and results would be on hold till the time assignments are not submitted. Mimic Pro Project has to be completed within the time duration decided by the University.

If a student is re-taking a subject’s term end exam, can the marks from the previous exam cycle’s assignment be carried forward?

Yes, assignment marks can be carried forward in case a student does not wish to re-submit assignment for the curent exam cycle.

If the student re-submits the assignment then best of assignment marks will be considered.
It is solely at the discretion of the student whether they wish to submit their assignments again for the next exam cycle.

Can a student apply for assignment/project re-valuation?

M.Sc in Applied Finance & Professional Diploma

Yes, a student can apply for revaluation. However, applying for revaluation does not indicate that the marks would increase than the original score. It could remain same, increase or even decrease than the original score. Revaluation Fees is Rs. 1,000/- per subject. Student can apply and pay the prescribed revaluation fees through student zone. However, there is no revaluation done for ‘’copy case’’.

When is a student given grace marks?

A candidate failing in one or more subjects in a semester is given up to 2% grace marks to enable him/her to pass the subject. Exam Results are declared after application of grace rule.

What should the student do if he/she is unable to register for exams due to slot unavailability, even though the examination window is live on the Student Zone?

Exam registration is done on first come first serve basis, so if a student is not able to see any slots available for that particular time or day it’s because that the slots are full for that day and time. Please select the next slot available.

MBA (WX) : 

Student can appear for the Term End Exam (30 marks) and Re-Exam  (100 marks) from any location of his/her choice via Mettl platform. The student can also opt to come to our regional office (options will be displayed during the exam registration process). Request should be made on/before Thursday 03:00 PM.

What is the fee applicable for Term End or Re-exam registration?

M.Sc in Applied Finance & Professional Diploma

Exam fee is charged at Rs 600/- per subject per attempt.

MBA (WX) :

Default TEE attempt (30 marks) has no exam fee. However, if there is any failure in the subject, Rs. 2500/- will be applicable per subject.

1. Student can choose to only appear for re-exam of 100 marks conducted at the end of every term by paying the applicable fees of Rs 2500 per subject

2. Student will have to pay the applicable subject wise fees as decided by the University

MBA (X) :

Default TEE attempt (60 marks) has no exam fee. However, if there is any failure in the subject, Rs. 2500/- will be applicable per subject.

Where are the exam centres for re-sit term end examinations?

Re-sit exams are conducted only at 9 cities where NMIMS Global Access has its regional offices i.e. Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi, Pune, Indore, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. Apart from these there could be additional centres and students need to check the same during exam registration.

MBA (WX) :

What is the eligibility criteria for Re-Sit examinations?

M.Sc in Applied Finance & Professional Diploma

To be eligible for the Re-Sit examinations, every student is expected to complete minimum of six months in a semester.

MBA (WX) & MBA (X) :

Students who have not cleared the subjects as per the passing criteria are eligible for re-sit examinations . This is not for grade improvement.

Can a student directly appear for Re-Sit examinations?

M.Sc. in Applied Finance & Professional Diploma Programs:

Student can directly appear for Re-Sit Exams but needs to complete minimum of six months in each semester after enrolment in a semester. For e.g. student enrolling in January Batch will be eligible to appear for the first term end examination only in June and not for April Re-Sit examination . Student enrolling in July Batch will be eligible to appear for the first term end examination only in December and not for September.

MBA (WX) & MBA (X) :

Yes. Rs. 2500/- will be applicable per subject for re-examinations. They will be  scheduled at a fixed time & date decided by the University. 

Does a student need to register for Re-Sit term examinations?

M.Sc in Applied Finance & Professional Diploma

Yes. The student needs to register for the Re-Sit examinations. The exam registration can be done online through the Student Zone and is on first come first serve basis, when the window for Re-Sit Exam opens. The student must not wait till last minute for exam registration as it could lead to unavailability of preferable exam centre/date/time slot, as seats are limited.

Can students choose their own exam schedule? 

M.Sc in Applied Finance & Professional Diploma –

The University allows for a flexible examination schedule. They are conducted on Friday/Saturday/Sunday over 3 to 4 weeks. Each day has 3 exam slots to choose from. The student is free to choose the Exam Centre & Exam Day/Date/Time based on his/her preference.

MBA (WX) & MBA (X)

The University decides time slots for term end exams, the student can pick from them. This is not applicable for re-sit exams; students will have to appear for the same as per the date & time announced by the University.

Students need to pay the applicable fee and then proceed with the submission on or before the deadline date which is announced by the University.

Does the passing certificate include student’s parents name as well?

As per the university format, first name of both the parents will be reflected on the mark sheets and final certificate.

What is the process to obtain physical copies of mark sheets and final certificate?

Students who want physical copies for mark sheets need to raise a service request through Student Zone: Student Zone -> Student Support -> Service Request -> Issuance of mark sheet/Final certificate. They can opt to get the same delivered to their shipping address or collect the same from their regional office. They will get a confirmation email once the documents are generated. Charges are applicable, wherever required.

What is the process of getting a transcript?

Student will have to raise a service request for a transcript. Three copies of the transcript will be issued for Rs. 1000/-. For every additional extra copy, there will be a charge of Rs. 300/-

Does the University send the transcripts to WES?

Yes, the University sends the transcripts to the World Education Services. In order to do so, students can email on ngasce@nmims.edu mentioning their complete requirement of documents needed to be sent along with the transcripts. They also need to confirm the address it needs to be sent to. Once the address is received, the University will then confirm the courier charge. After the completion of above mentioned steps, documents will be sent to WES.

How many times can student avail the option of re-exam and repeat subject?

M.Sc (Applied Finance) & Professional Diploma :

Student can avail the option of Re-exam till the time he does not clear the subject with the minimum passing criteria of 50% until program validity

MBA (WX):

Depends on when the validity of the program ends. There is no point of any student using the above options when they cannot complete the program within validity. 

Student should clear:

a. TERM 1 by 18th month in the program

b. TERM 2 by 21st month in the program

c. TERM 3 by 24th month in the program

d. TERM 4 by 27th month in the program

e. TERM 5 by 30th month in the program

What is a student has failed in three subjects, requires live session for two and re-exam for one?

M.Sc. in Applied Finance & Professional Diploma :

Student will be allowed access to the recordings of the lectures of the pending subjects , he can choose to appear for the Re-sit attempt in any exam cycle within his program validity.

MBA (WX) & MBA (X):

Yes, student can opt for any combination, but this decision should be made before start of TERM and deadlines defined by the University (Charges Applicable).

If a student fails in 3 or more subjects in a term/semester, can he/she move to the next term?

What is the ‘Student Support’ centre working hours?
