  • The Master of Business Administration (Working Executive) Program extends over a duration of two years, meticulously crafted to offer a comprehensive exploration of theoretical principles and functional domains inherent in the realm of Management.
  • The curriculum encompasses a diverse array of courses carefully structured to facilitate a thorough investigation of fundamental concepts, established practices, and emerging trends within the designated subject area.
  • The curriculum is organized into core courses in the first two semester, the third semester includes core courses in Managerial Economics and Strategic Management.
  • Students have the opportunity to choose electives based on their career goals, with specializations available in Marketing, Leadership and Strategy, Operations and Supply Chain, Applied Finance, and Digital Marketing.
  • The program concludes with a Capstone Project in the sixth semester, providing students with the opportunity to apply their acquired knowledge and skills.
  • The seventh and eighth semesters are dedicated to the completion of a comprehensive project.
  • Overall, the program aims to equip working executives with a well-rounded skill set and a strategic understanding of various business domains.

Learning Resources

Learning materials are prepared for the courses as per UGC guidelines – the four quadrant approach.  Every course has recorded videos covering the syllabus, recording of synchronous sessions that are scheduled for the semester, digital learning materials that students can refer to for learning, discussion forums where faculty can interact with students and clarify their doubts, and self-assessment quizzes.

Program Structure

Foundation Course

Foundation modules from Harvard Business Publishing Education with Certification

  • Build a solid foundation for the courses offered in business education that aligns with your self-learning objectives.
  • Earn certificate/s from Harvard Business Publishing Education on successful completion of module/s.
  • Get one click access to these modules directly from your student portal with one-year free validity.
  • The Foundation Module helps build necessary shared business knowledge and terminology before arriving at the online campus.

Specialization

  • Core Specialization: A student should choose 6 electives in Terms III, IV & V from that particular track (out of 5 tracks). The remaining 6 electives can be chosen from any track/s.
  • Dual Specialization: A student should choose 5 electives each from two tracks: Track 1 & Track 2 (across Terms III, IV & V) out of 5 tracks. The remaining 2 electives can be chosen from any track/s.

Capstone

The Capstone Project is the final deliverable of the program. It allows the student to immediately apply the program learning to a simulated business environment. It also challenges the students intellectually with a mandate to strike out in a new and innovative business direction: it allows the student to assimilate a vision, their expertise and experience, and create something new.

In a Capstone Project students pursue independent research on a question or problem, engage with the scholarly debates in the relevant disciplines, and with the guidance of a faculty mentor – yield a substantial project/paper that reflects understanding of the subject/topic.

Campus Immersion

  • Immersion program for Master of Business Administration (Working Executive) will be conducted in Term 6
  • Registration to Immersion will always start from day 1 of Term 6 and continued for 2 weeks.
  • Immersion will be conducted in 3rd weekend of Term 6. (Note: Immersion start and end dates will be circulated in batch planner shared at the start of each cohort)

Project

In Term 7 and Term 8 , the project of six-month duration is a mandatory component of the Master of Business Administration (Working Executive)  program. Students need to submit a  video on project that they are doing at their workplace or on own at end of Term 7. At the end of term 8, the student will submit a reflective essay covering following parameters :

  • Overview of project objectives and experience.
  • Discuss how knowledge gained in the programme was applied in the project.
  • Analyze specific instances where theoretical concepts were applied
  • Reflect on your personal and professional growth during the project.
  • Address challenges faced and how they were overcome.

Non Submission of Project will lead to non-completion of program and thereby the student will be non-eligible for Issuance of Final Certificate. Student will be graded as Satisfactory or Non Satisfactory as per the guidelines and will be reflecting in the gradesheet and Transcript.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from recognized University or an equivalent degree recognised by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with a minimum of 55% and 3 + years of Work Experience (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD).

  • Admission Processing Fee of ₹1,500/- applicable for all admissions.
  • An initial amount of ₹10,000/- from the program fee will be collected at the time of registration.
  • Re-Exam fee : ₹2,500/- per subject
  • The above-mentioned fee structure is subject to change at the discretion of the University.
  • Any payment made via Demand Draft should be made in favour of “SVKM’s NMIMS” payable at Mumbai.
  • Now avail loan facility to pay fees for the Program even without a credit card

Scholarship Policy 

  • The University offers special incentives to our armed forces, Defence Personnel and their immediate family with a 20% concession on the program fee.

 

Note : Faculty assigned to a subject for each semester will be at the discretion of the university. It is not necessary that the mentioned faculty will teach across all batches and in all terms.
