- Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
- Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
- Proficiency in using instructional design tools and authoring software (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, LMS platforms).
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and their functionalities.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyse learning needs and define learning objectives.
- Design and develop instructional materials, including e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, job aids, assessments, and multimedia elements (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
- Apply instructional design models and principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Utilise authoring tools, learning management systems, and other technologies to develop and deliver learning content.
- Conduct thorough research to gather and organise content from various sources.
- Create storyboards, prototypes, and outlines to visualise and communicate the instructional design approach
- Incorporate multimedia elements, such as audio, video, graphics, and animations, to enhance learning materials.
- Ensure instructional materials are accessible and comply with relevant accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with graphic designers, multimedia specialists, and other team members to produce high-quality learning materials.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, functionality, and effectiveness of instructional materials.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest instructional design trends, tools, and best practices.
Education & Work Experience :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in instructional design and development, preferably in a corporate or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, theories, and methodologies.
